Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation Review.

Okay so everyone and their Mum has been raving about the new Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation. After seeing the advert with Kate Moss about a thousand times, I was sold so I thought I would jump on the band wagon, even though I do sit firmly in the Revlon foundation camp.

Rather in love with the gorgeous glass bottle. I'm a total sucker for packaging.
The colour range isn't that large and I found the true ivory a little bit orange, but with a bit of blending down my neck it looks fine.
A great feature about the packaging is that it comes with a pump. Which I love as I tend to use too much foundation if it doesn't have one.

Now I tend to personally prefer a matte finish with my foundation, but after a rather "interesting" problem with an acne regime, which left my skin ridiculously dry (the complete opposite to the usual oil sleek I tend to have on my face).  I have been going for a dewy finish, to prevent a rather flaky face!

I found this foundation was perfect for a dewy finish which is bang on trend for spring. It has fine pieces of glitter in the formula, which seem to help with the anti-fatigue effect + radiant glow it promises on the packaging. Don't worry you won't end up looking like Edward Cullen though, which I sometimes find with the glitter in the Revlon HD Ready foundation. It feels really moisturising when it goes on, but doesn't slide about. It gives a medium coverage, so you don't feel too caked in foundation. This has SPF 15 in it, which is great for Spring/Summer as we don't want to have to keep putting oily sunscreen on our faces do we?

On the Rimmel website it says the foundation lasts up to 10 hours. I personally wouldn't know if it lasts this long, as I don't wear foundation for that amount of time. However it does last me the 8 hour days at work.

This foundation has a really lovely scent. It seems really fresh and clean. Most of the Rimmel foundations have this scent. I only know because my first ever foundation was a Rimmel one and so every time I smell this foundation I feel 13 again.

I purchased mine from Boots at £8.99, but because it is new there, maybe there are some special offers at Superdrug. Overall I am really impressed with this foundation. I definitely think I have been converted. Sorry Revlon.

Nails of the Day!

So today as been a really rainy day! I went to my local high street and did some browsing and then painted my nails.

Todays colour of choice was Essie's 'To buy or not to buy', it is from their Spring 2012 collection and I keep constantly putting it on (which is rare for me). For the crosses I used a brand I have never heard of before which is called PR International it's a polish with a nail art brush. I purchased it from Ebay and was slightly annoyed I accidentally ordered the glittery black one instead of the plain black, but after using it I'm glad I got the glitter. I'm not the best at nail art so I do apologise for the wonky crosses.

What is your favourite polish to wear for Spring?

xoxo Tanya.

H&M Wish List.

Okay so I know I said on Twitter I was too tired to do a post tonight but... my itching fingers couldn't keep away!

Here are just a few items I would love to get from H&M right now!

All the images are from the women section minus the bright orange jumper (Mens) which is probably my favourite although it might be a bit more of a Winter item.

Shabby Chic Hunting.

After and filmed a couple of videos this morning I decided to enjoy my afternoon in the sun. My Mum and I went to a lovely little shabby chic shop right by the beach. It was rather crowded, but I still managed to get these pictures!

I actually purchased this little heart for £2.50 in and think it will go lovely in my room.

Wish List from Topshop.

So if you haven't realised yet, I am a big fan of Topshop. I spend most of my evenings browsing through their website drooling over the jewellery and clothes. Here are a few things I have fallen in love with.

I am loving this whole pastel blazer trend this spring, and this blazer is just perfect for it. The colour is not too in your face and the cut looks beautiful and feminine. It's £40.00 which I think is a fair price for something you are going to get a lot of wear out of over spring. Plus it would look great over a dress at a wedding in the summer.

This too is amazing! Am I the only person who still is obsessed with the  galaxy pattern? I love the fact that this top has a pegasus on it as well, it makes it more unique. The only thing that annoys me is that it is cropped and that does not suit my figure. It's £22 on the website not including P&P.

This has got to be my FAVOURITE item at Topshop! Not only is it pastel, it has a dipped hem, it's pleated and the colours are amazing! At £32 it's a little expensive for me. However I think I am truly in love.

This ring is lovely and simple, but will still add a statement to any outfit. £6.50

Now this may look a little scary, but I think it is amazing. I love wearing anything with collars and this is right up my alley. However it is £25 which is a little bit expensive for a glorified collar.

Off course I couldn't do a wish list without a nail polish! This is Raazmatazz. It is one of the new colours added to the collection and as we all know I have a weakness for glitter. £6.00

Let me know what is on your wish list at the moment! Tanya x

New Jewellery!

Today I received a lovely parcel from Wavy Jewellery. I first found out about Wavy Jewellery when Kate started following me on twitter.

I was amazed that the items were £4 or less. I had been looking for some more items with crosses on, as I am obsessed with them. I found a lot of her items remind me of something you would find in Topshop.

Not only did it arrive quickly but the jewellery was nicely packaged in a little paper bag. (It's the little details that count)
I am in love with this necklace and still can't believe it was only £4 and handmade. I think this will go great under the collar of a buttoned up shirt.
I was so excited to get this ring as I have wanted one just like it for a while. As you can see from the picture I have chubby fingers so find it hard to get rings that fit me well. That fact that this ring is adjustable just adds to the brilliance of it. I get stressed when buying rings online as sizes can range at each store, so there was no problem with that.
I thought it was a nice touch that she added a little note on the business card she sent. I think I will be purchasing some more items from her :)

Primark, French Products and Missing Glitter!

So today I went shopping to try and purchase some Spring Clothing, as I realised my wardrobe is just full of thick jumpers. I went in with high hopes, which were quickly dashed by the not so exciting Spring lines from most of my Highstreet. I new I wanted to pick up some pastel blazers, chiffon pleated maxi skirts and some dropped armhole racer back t-shirts.

I found none of the above in my local New Look and was rather annoyed as they were the most likely place to find these items. However I did find a bit of success in Primark as they had pleated maxi skirts in black and coral. To my dismay there were made of a jersey material instead of chiffon, but they were only £12 so I picked up a black one, as I thought it would be more slimming ;) I also picked up a new denim shirt as my one from last year is looking a bit rough from all the wear. I will post pictures in the next few days as my lighting is not good enough at the moment.

Finally in the post this morning I receive my Bioderma makeup remover from ebay. I was really excited to use this product due to the hype it has received on youtube/blogs. I used it this evening and was not disappointed. I will post a review once I have used it for a while. I

My Day in Pictures.

The Big Bosses are coming into work tomorrow and I didn't think they would appreciate my sparkly nails. So I went for a lovely nude: Maybelline Ivory Rose. I have most of the nude colours from the Maybelline collection and find you have to use at least 3 coats. However I really love this colour as I think it suits my skin tone.
When I realised there was a new Gossip Girl episode to watch, I was so excited. To be honest I was pretty disappointed with the episode but at least my little meal was awesome!
Finally I have started to edit my next video. Can you guess what it is about? ;) Love Tanya x

Nail of the Day!

So I want to start posting nail of the day pictures. This is one from ages ago and the picture is edited with Instagram. I used almost all Barry M Nail polishes and Sally Hansens Strobe Light for a top coat!I think everyone gave this nail look a try! It is really easy to do and it doesn't really matter if you mess up!
